I’m Nick and this is my blog. I work as a web developer for the Lawrence Journal-World and do various odd consulting jobs in my abundant free time.

I am an avid runner and ultra-marathoner (an ultra-marathon is any endurance foot race, that is longer than a marathon). I love running ultras because of the way it pushes the human body beyond the limits of even what you previously thought was beyond your limits. The way you feel about life and yourself after accomplishing such an event can be life changing and all of a sudden life becomes more inspiring.

I am also one of the founding members of the Lawrence Trailhawks a local trail running and ultra running club in Lawrence, KS. Part of the work I do with them is maintain the webpage, help clean and build trails and help put on races and events for the local running community.
